(Your Auckland Railway News) is the Society's monthly magazine created and edited by the membership itself. YARN is the Society's primary communication media, is published 12 times a year and is included in the membership subscription.
A superb full colour publication is produced each year. The 2008 calendar is now available at $5 each + P & P by Mail Order.

Books and booklets are also on sale from the clubrooms, or from car marshalls on mainline excursions.

THE NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS STORY Documenting the story of New Zealand's railway system from the 7 km line between Christchurch and Ferrymead, opened in 1863, to the beginning of the Tranz Rail/Toll era in 1995, this program contains a wide variety of coverage taken from newsreels, publicity films and enthusiast footage of steam, diesel and electrically hauled trains in action around New Zealand through the years. Among the original promotional films featured in their entirety are Railways of the Scenic Wonderland from 1939 and Changing railways/Engines from 1954/57. |
