Listed below are special events that are run each operating season plus extra running days. For further information contact Glenbrook Station (operating days only) or the Railway Enthusiasts Society clubrooms. Phone numbers are listed in the 'Contact Details' web page on this site.
Bookings are not taken for seat reservations for any of the special events listed below unless specifically noted. Please purchase your tickets at Glenbrook Station on the day.

Sir Topham Hatt, The Fat Controller will be in charge. First train departs at 10 am & every 30 minutes thereafter until 4 pm. Disabled parking is available at Glenbrook station, entry gate for disabled parking only is on the corner of Glenbrook Station Road & Farmpark Road. Trains run from Glenbrook to Fernleigh & return, boarding at Glenbrook only. No trains will operate between Fernleigh & Victoria Avenue, Waiuku over this weekend. Fares which include children's entertainment are Adult $20, Child $10 (under 4 years free) & family $55. |

| Railfan's Day | Saturday 17 March 2012 |
Railfans Day - A special
photographic day for Railfans with many photo run pasts of mixed &
goods trains using GVR's Ja 1250 & Ww 644. The train will depart
Glenbrook at 9.15 am through to approximately 5 pm. Participants will
need to arrive at Glenbrook station by 9 am, the train will only return
to Glenbrook station briefly during the day. Only those displaying the
Railfans Day ticket will be allowed on GVR property during the day.
